We have included the Thai chicken meatballs on the menu in honor of Chef Kenny Bigwood’s birthday today . Pulled straight from my memory (and also his recipe book just to be sure) this is a flavor infused dish Kenny served at the high-bar at hotel slo . We are happy to include this on our menu to celebrate his knowledge and passion for food .
Today Kenny would've been 36, and sure enough as it was his birthday, he would have been in the kitchen working. He loved nothing more than cooking and serving others . It’s what made his heart full constantly . He was a selfless and loving individual that was content as long as you were content . Tell all your special one off friend(s) today that you love them , that you’re thankful for them, because it can all be over in an instant . To end on a lighter note, as Bigwood always said (in a Danny Devito/Frank Reynolds voice) “when I’m dead just throw me in the trash”. 🪵🗑️
